A spiritual director is one who sits with another and listens intently to the story being told.  It doesn’t matter where you are in your life’s journey.  As long as you have a desire to move forward in the development of your spirit, then you are welcome to come for spiritual direction.

Even though we use the word direction, my emphasis in spiritual direction is on listening.  I not only listen to your story, but we also, together, listen to that “other voice” for guidance on the journey.

No matter what you call the “other voice” you are welcome in spiritual direction.  It is also possible that you are longing to hear or to become familiar with some type of guiding spirit.  This is a very appropriate reason to seek spiritual direction.
